The Wisdom of Ant

The two cedar tree guardians on the land upon which I live opened up a spirit door for me to enter and communicate with Ant. I entered the door and watched my spirit body walk towards the front of my home and pick up a stone under which a colony of ants lived. I began to speak to the ants and asked them if they would please communicate the meaning of the symbol to me.

I was greeted by an individual ant who asked for me to follow him. I agreed and he led me down a long tunnel. As he guided me, he spoke, saying, "Remember, everyone is important within your communities. No one is greater than another and everyone has a gift to share." We reached a large opening supported by pillars of Earth where many ants were moving around performing different tasks. Ant spoke and said, "There is someone who would like to speak with you." At that, the pillars began to grow larger and upwards, lifting the ceiling of the dwelling. The grains of Earth of one of the pillars began to shift and morphed themselves into a being resembling an ancient axtec statue. The Being left his position holding the ceiling and spoke to me. "I represent the Ant community as a whole." he said. "Walk with me."

The Being led me through another tunnel and into daylight. We came to a hilltop and overlooked a small town. The Pillar Being pointed out the center of the town in which stood a maypole with children playing around it. The Being pointed out how the maypole could be looked upon as the pillar holding up the community. "Look at how beautiful the children are moving around the pillar." The Being said. " You humans have such potential for beauty and can form such harmonic geometries upon the Earth when you come together as equals and honor all perspectives on the circle." At that, the children began forming beautiful geometric shapes and mandalas around the maypole. "Come with me further." The Pillar Being said.

We continued to walk to another viewpoint on the hilltop. This one overlooked a large forest and a river. A large Spirit Woman apeared before us, she was Mother Earth herself. She asked me what I saw below and I said " A magnificent forest, a majestic river, beautiful clouds..." "These Beings are all the community of the Earth," the great woman said. "Not one is greater than the other, each one supports the other and they are all my children. Humans are a member of this community as well, but have fallen asleep. You are all moving into a global society to teach yourselves that you are all one, that no one is greater than another and that all deserve love, life and abundance. Do you understand this?" I said yes, and at that, the pillar being told me that it was time to return. I thanked the Great Mother and the Pillar Being guided me to the first tunnel from which I came. I thanked him and as I turned to leave I was greeted by the ant who first greeted me. “As a token of our appreciation for you coming to speak with us, we have a gift for you,” he said. He then showed images to me of groups of people doing what looked like partner yoga together, making all sorts of shapes with their bodies. Pyramids, towers; the participants all supporting one another. “These are fun exercises to come together as a group”, the ant continued. When you use them you’ll be working with Ant Medicine.” I thanked him and headed back up the tunnel to my physical body beneath the cedar trees.

If Ant has come to you today, perhaps you need to look at how you are participating in your community. Are you sharing your gifts with the larger whole? Are you trying to do everything by yourself? Do you need to plan? Do you need to recruit a team to help manifest your vision? Are you being impatient and not paying attention to the task at hand?
