The Wisdom of Dragonfly

Dragonfly visited me once in the astral realm. He was flying above a beautiful pond full of water lilies; light dancing on the surface. Dragonfly flew around and around creating a visible spiral in the air. The spiral shimmered blue and white and reflected the pond beneath it. It then became a doorway. Dragonfly asked if I would like to step through the doorway. I said "yes" and entered the spiral.

On the other side, I was greeted by a tall, thin man wearing a blue and white robe covered in golden spirals. His complexion was greenish white and protruding from his back were large dragonfly wings. He greeted me and began to speak of the magick of the spiral.

"The spiral is a gateway between worlds" he said. "Explore it in its many manifestations. It can take you into yourself and out. Into the past, the present and the future. Into realms beyond your wildest imagination. It is the essence of alchemy, of bringing worlds together." Dragonfly Man flashed an image into my third eye of children spinning and laughing. "Children are aware of its magick. Allow the child within yourself to explore it as well. Dragonfly is the keeper of the spiral. He was born in water and emerged to air through it. He holds the magick of bridging worlds." Dragonfly Man continued, "Hooping, dancing the spiral, the spinning meditations practiced by the Sufis, walking the labyrinth are all tools to access the power of the spiral. They are here for you to explore on your path."

With that, Dragonfly Man bid me farewell and thanked me for visiting with him. I thanked him in return and walked back through the spiral doorway and stepped out of the vision. Dragonfly left the symbol with me so that I would remember the teaching.
