The Wisdom of Fox

On my journey with Bear to meet Fox, Fox passed me in a streak of reddish-brown. “Follow
me if you can, ” she said. I started running after her, but she was very elusive. There were
moments when she was right in front of me, hiding in high grass and I couldn’t even see her.
She popped out and said “I am only seen when I want to be. Sit here,” she then said,
“and listen. We Foxes hold the mysteries of the Divine Feminine. Like us, she is very elusive
and cunning and will only be seen when she wants to be. Do you not think that women are
called Foxy for a reason? They are mysterious, like us. When a woman reveals herself to you
and shares her secrets, it is a great gift. Mother Earth has revealed herself to you
and human beings have exploited the gifts she has shared. She is the Divine Mother
who gives so freely. Mankind has much to learn from her. If you are a woman and I
have come to you today, perhaps I am urging you to delve deeper into your sacred
mysteries or perhaps I am telling you that it is not quite the time to reveal yourself
or one of your creations. Perhaps I am telling you that a situation requires your stealth
and cunning. If you are a man and I come to you, then perhaps I am asking
you to come to the forest and meditate upon the feminine nature. I may be asking you to
look at your relationship with her. Perhaps I am also letting you know that it is not the time
to reveal your creation to the world. For all, I suggest the art of camoflauge. It can be quite
fun to come into the forest and sit among the high brush and grasses completely unseen
to other animals. Who knows what you’ll see. It is also fun to camoflauge yourself
and go unseen in a busy crowd. Next time you are in a public space and do not wish to be
seen, trying slipping me over you like a cloak. I guarantee you’ll enjoy the feeling.
With that, Fox slipped away unoticed. I laughed and Bear greeted me once again
to guide me from the vision.
